What is Functional Reflex Therapy?
Functional Reflex Therapy (FRT) is a unique approach to reflexology that offers a supportive framework encouraging meaningful connection ‘beyond the touch’.
The nurturing concept of FRT grew from my reflexology work within schools, supporting children and young people with additional and complex needs, high levels of anxiety, and communication differences.
Since then, FRT has evolved through the dedication of reflexologists who’ve embraced its principles. Today, reflexologists use within their business provide valuable pathways of support for individuals of all ages and needs, families, and communities worldwide through the growing FRT Network.
About the Online CPD Course
The Functional Reflex Therapy (FRT) CPD Online Course is designed for qualified reflexologists who wish to make their practice more inclusive, adaptable, and accessible to diverse needs and develop supportive practice within their local communities.
The course blends pre-recorded video modules, short quizzes, and live Zoom sessions with Lorraine, creating a rich, interactive learning experience.

Professional Recognition
This course is fully approved for CPD/CE by:
- The Association of Reflexologists (AoR)
- The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT)
CPD Certificate:
22 hours CPD awarded upon full completion (including all three Zoom sessions).

Booking & Course Access
When you register: £510
- You’ll receive a payment receipt and link to book your introductory Zoom session (within 3 weeks).
- Session slots depending on availability:
- Tuesday mornings (9am–12 noon, UK time)
- Thursday evenings (6–9pm, UK time)
- Saturday mornings (9am–12 noon, UK time)
Course Access:
Granted after your introductory Zoom. You have 6 months to complete the course, with lifetime access to training materials.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made before your introductory Zoom session.
- Refunds will incur a £30 admin fee.
- No refunds for non-completion after the 6-month timeframe.
- Extensions may be possible by arrangement – please email Lorraine.
Respectful Agreement
By registering for this course, you confirm that you:
- Hold a recognised Level 3 Reflexology qualification (or equivalent) and valid public liability insurance.
- Agree to uphold the professional code of ethics of your reflexology association.
- Understand that FRT is trademarked intellectual property of Lorraine Senior.
- Agree to use FRT materials solely within your professional reflexology practice.
- Understand that reflexologists completing FRT training are independent practitioners, not employees of FRT.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, the three Zoom sessions are a required part of the course to complete certification.
You are already qualified to take your reflexology into schools and into other environments. FRT offers support and resources to help you do so confidently and effectively.
Email Lorraine as soon as possible, alternative times can usually be arranged.
Yes, active members have permission to use the FRT name, framework, and logos in their practice.
You’ll receive your certificate, join the FRT Network, and gain access to member resources, events, and continued learning.
Membership & Ongoing Support
After completing the course, you’ll be invited to register for FRT Level 1 Member and enjoy continued access to professional resources, guidance, and the global FRT community.
Level 1 – FRT Reflexologist
- Permission to use the Functional Reflex Therapy name and logo in your business
- Run FRT Rainbow Relaxation Workshops for families and carer
- Lifetime access to all FRT materials and support leaflets
- Addition to the Find a Therapist page
Level 2 – FRT Classroom Coach
After at least 12 months as an active member, you may meet the criteria and choose to progress to Level 2, becoming an approved trainer to introduce the FRT Programme in schools. (Level 2 requires additional CPD and an additional membership fee and agreement.)
